Will Noynoy make a good president?  

actually whether he will be the president ,ur tax wont cut down and ur welfare wont increase
so i see no reason why us jion tthat senseless activity……

I think Noynoy can be a good president and your right he's our best bet.But we can never predict what will happen in the future.But I hope he can change things for the better.

I didn't vote for Noynoy Aquino because I'm not impressed with his track record as a senator. But the people have spoken and Aquino got about 40% of the Filipino people's votes, the most by any candidate in the 2010 elections. Though I'm skeptical about Noynoy's abilities as a public servant, there is nothing much I can do because the results are clear, he leads a large margin over the other candidates. What I can do now is to hope that he will turn out for the better as the president of the Philippines. Because of his incompetence as a senator, I hope that he would surround himself with really good allies that could help him execute his duties. One thing that I'm thinking is that he could consider making fellow presidential candidate and cousin Gilbert Teodoro as his adviser. There is no doubt that Teodoro's got a brilliant mind and as far as platforms are concerned, Teodoro's got the most impressive one (in my opinion). Teodoro could definitely give Aquino a lot of better advises. A major concern for me is his sister Kris. Kris is notoriously known to really draw attention and is meddling with her brother's (Noynoy) affairs. I hope that Kris won't get into Noynoy's affairs of the state because that would be detrimental to Noynoy's presidency. In his interview, Noynoy said that the first thing that he'll do is to look on the case against former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. Personally, I really don't like that because he should have put his time and efforts in serving the country rather than the cases against one person. I admire Noynoy's drive against corruption but there are a lot of things to attend to aside from corruption which I believe is far more important.

Well, anyway, it's just the start of his term as the 15th president of the Philippines. Let's just see, hope, and pray that he indeed would turn out for the better. I believe that he was not the best and most deserving of all the candidates but since he's the one elected, there's nothing much I can do but accept it.

yes. I voted for him, 'coz I believe that God wanted him to be there. events of the past led him to where he is exactly meant to be, and guess what many voted for him.

i did not vote for i no longer believe in the system. but even i did not vote i still watch everything about the presidential candidates and the vice as well. noynoy was not my choice, but since he was the one who won then we all should give him a chance. after all, i am sure he doesnt want people to do another people power wanted him out of office. i want to see if he can do what he promised and give him a chance to make the philippines a better one.

somehow his initial reaction to swear to a barangay chairman confirmed my doubts about his experience, maturity and capability.

when cory was swept into power, in the first few months, i don't remember her doing/saying anything like that. maybe because at that age, she has already been through a lot, ninoy's imprisonment, us exile, raising the kids alone. so maybe she was surrounded by a lot of experts, but what comes out of your mouth is something that's controlled by you.

shouldn't he start acting, thinking and talking like a statesman now? it makes me wonder if the other candidates would say the same things if they won.

will see, if i would base on his past performance as a politicians i don't think so, but i am willing to give him a chance, and i hope he will not forget what his father told him in the letter..he might draw inspiration to that and eventually will lead us with a good heart.

I did not vote for him either, i never liked him ever since the debates, i used to but i needed some one who is precise on his plans for the country. probably the only platform i can appreciate on noynoy is his Responsible Parenthood program.

let's just watch him and see how it goes. am still skeptic though i hope he surprises us some day.

Noynoy was my first choice among the Presidential candidates but their are certain reasons that brought me into confusion and I end for for nothing him. I think he will be a good President and I know he won't let the Legacy of her Parents down.Let us not be that skeptical just Pray for our Country and Let us just wish that after 6 years of Noynoy's administration The Philippines will be a better place.

Hey bro. It's been quite a while since I've posted here or gave a comment. But your post really intrigued me in so many ways. First because I want to see how many responses you have and if those comments are with content. Second is that how you asked the question... Well let me elaborate. It doesn't matter if he will be a good president or not. I don't think that it's the president's fault that we are a third world country. We did this to ourselves. It's the system not the governance of the leaders. Let me give you an example. In our barangay with less budget can do magic with their allowance from the government what more if you are in higher office. And maybe you are right, Noynoy will be a good President but can his goodness affect each and every Filipino. Will he be not going to place those close people in his cabinet so they can advice him to do this and do that. I don't know if you are following me but your question is so vast that I think I rather say... maybe.
