How to increase page rank of my web blog ?  

1. Blogging based on certain keywords. You may want to add your blog to Google's webmaster tool to monitor the keywords Google indexed.

2. Creating backlinks. For this, one blog is not enough. You may want to create several peripheral Web 2.0 properties pointing to your main site. Here, the Angela and Paul backlinks are a good start for just creating links.

3. Page Rank sculpting. Using rel="nofollow" for outgoing links to sites that you do not own.

4. Monitoring traffic with Google analytics. You will be inserting Google analytics code to your web page.

Hmm. What else? I'll think of more suggestions.

First of all you need to learn SEO by reading a lot or Google it. Then write a blog or site which Google can spider your site or blog with good content. Then Link you blog/site to all bookmarking site, directories,forums, ping it and rss feed them. It will take some time before you can see them with page ranking in Google about 3 to 6 months that's the appropriate way of white hat SEO. I cannot discuss about black hat SEO here I might be ban.
