Have you experienced being scammed?  

yes, i dont know how it happened but a few weeks ago a payment was made from my bank account to a comapany pretending to be Sky Digital, a TV company. I knew this wasn't them as I don't have anything with them and when I phoned them to query it, they were unaware of any payment made! I phoned my bank who cancelled the card the money had been taken from (it looked like the card had been cloned!), and they refunded the money to my bank account within a week, but it was a very scary experience to go through! I was on edge constantly that someone had stolen my identity, but since that happened there has been no other offence!

It is scary to think that people will steal your bank details and take your money, the payment had come from my card, so somebody had obviously written down all of my card details when I gave them to pay for something on the telephone!! It makes me very wary of making payments by telephone as it is obviously very easy for them to do it, also I have a security feature on my card where when I make a payment online I have to enter a unique password, so it was obviously somebody who made a payment in a shop or over the telephone. Very scary!

fortunately i have not yet experienced being scammed, and i surely hope i wouldn't encounter any scams later on. that's why i read about online sites first before registering, and if there are any negative comments and reports about them then i dont join. one rule for me too is that if the site asks for money then most likely it is a scam.

I guess I'm also wary about that. I don't easily pay anything over the internet coz it might cost you a lot when you get scammed. I have never been scammed yet not even thru ebay or ptc sites. I don't pay anything in any ptc sites too coz i know that it wouldn't be worthy.

That was very alarming really. It makes us worry about our online transaction. It is good that you have done what is right, at the right time. I had been scammed before but not on my credit card but through paypal. That is the reason why, we truly need to take time to make some search before making payments online. This will save us a lot of time and money later when some irregularities happen.

I never ever use my credit card online for these specific types of transactions. If you like to do offers, make sure you only complete the free offers. Again, DO NOT ever use your credit card.

To answer your question yes, I've been scammed several times but since I only use money I earn online, I did not loose out of pocket.

I being scam from a ptc sites but not big lost as I don't invest anything on it only my a little bit of time. After my first log in and clicked around 20+ links, the other day, I couldn't log in, my account is either deleted or disabled without doing anything wrong like hacking.

Actually just recently I was looking for a car on craigslit and I found a car that was juyst to good to be true it was a Bmw with less than 100k miles on it and for under $2000. So I emailed the person who posted it and I got a email back saying how the car was so great and only getting rid of it cause they are going overseas for the military. So i asked how i was to pay for this car and he said ebay then he went on to say in order fo me to purchase the car i had to make a deposoit on it throught ebay with out him putting it up for a acution and me bidding on it. For me it was easy to spot cause i am a avid user of ebay and there is no way i was going to give him money let alone my account information so that ebay could set up the "Auction". In al my years i have never been scammed just a couple of close calls like this one.

Yes..My cousin and i were apartment hunting..She got a message from the owner by email saying he will be out of town with work so he won't be able to show the house that week..If we were excited to see the place we could go and peak in the window ..He apologized ..We decided we can go walk by it..so we did and the place looked really nice. We heard people inside so we knocked on the door..nobody answered but we could hearing kids inside..Finally we left and came back and we were told my the ownder of the house that it was a scam..soo annoying..People aren't just going to send money without seeing the place first..but it is annoying since you go and look at it ..get excited and let down..Scammers suck lol

yeah and in response to that thing, i do scam and spamming myself today. its good money. what the heck about privacy then.

There's a lot of scam in the net. And i do admit I am one of the victim. I once believe those high paying PTC sites, after months of clicking and reach the minimum payout balance and withdraw my balance, I then realized that I was fooled. I never tried those high paying PTCs again.
