How do you comfort a friend who is brokenhearted?  

All you can do, it`s to make him forget about his ex one . Take him out, make him feel happy, make new friends, and maybe a new partner for him. The easiest way to forget about someone, it`s to find other partner . In that way, you will think more about your actual one, and less to the ex one. But, as a friend, you can just party with him, and to help him forget the past.

just prepare your ears. let your friend pour his/her heart out.

things that i do and don't do whenver my friends have love problems are:

1. i do not comment negatively about their partners even if they say not-so-good things about them. just think that it's out of frustration why they said such stuff.

2. i do not resort to "i told you so" moments.

3. i do let them formulate a solution to their problem. i can give advices, but i do not impose it on them. i make it clear that if they follow my advice, it shouldn't bite me back in the butt. if they decide to follow the advice, it must be to their own judgment.

4. i do listen more than i comment. i ask questions even if i know the answer. sometimes, your friends know the answer to their dilemmas, it's just that it's repressed. it helps if they utter it.

You just have to show him positive things in life and that life is an echo we should be giving our best to get a great deal back. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing so nothing is lost yet, everything is yours is you believe and work for it.

Just be there for him or her...be there to listen,support, understand...and of course tell him/her that life is not over all has reasons.....and maybe there is much better in store for him/her =)

I would just give them some time and try to not get mad at them or do things to anger them because they've been through a lot so they might still be stressed or slightly somewhat angry. Try to appease them for a while; do things their way for a while.

Just be there with her. Don't leave her and believe in your instincts on how to comfort your friend. Most advices don't work all the time coz its not applicable to every person or situation. You yourself knows best so go for it and just comfort your friend and entertain her.=>

well, there are many ways to comfort a friend who is broken hearted, but maybe the most pleasant and effective one is to be with him/her the most of the time and trying to make him/her happy or at laest feel better, because people think about rediculous things in moments like that and some even think of suicide or something else what is also danger.
the thing that I mostly do when I have a friend broken hearted is to go at his place and talk about the problem and try to explain him that it was the better way because if he has stayed with that girl, he hasn't got any future and she wasn't right for him. we often go out to play some football or basketball aor ride a becycle, because the more things we do, the sooner we forget about that what has made us sad. we also o on some trips with the car of some other friend for a day or two and have a lot of fun there, and I can definitely tell you that it makes everyone feel much much better no matter how broken his/her heart is and you should also try it if someday you or some friend of yours is broken hearted. we also go at the cinema to watch some comedy( only comedies and nothing else), because it makes us laugh and relax us!

Brokenhearted is most commonly used nowadays. Actually someone can be brokenhearted everyday, lol. But just in case I have a friend who is truly brokenhearted, I will encourage him or her to go ahead and wait for another one, not find another one. In this life, I believe there will always be someone for each and everyone. Don't hurry, relax, be cooL and PRAY HARD.

whenever she needs you alwasy be there for her.
maybe just stay quietly and listen to what she said.
love is gone but friendship is always there. tell her some jokes to make her smile and ask her out for dinner or parties to know more guys.
anyway, try best to make her forget ex and start a new relationship.
