|  Behind Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo, the Boston Celtics survived another 4th quarter collapsed as they withstood the rally of the Magic and gaining the upperhand in the series with an all-important win in game 2, 95-92. Pierce scored 28 points and Rondo added 25 points for the Celtics. Dwight Howard was aggressive throughout the game scoring a game-high 30 points. But it was not enough to overcome the 53 points combined by Pierce and Rondo.

| |  I'm both surprised and impressed by the Boston Celtics. I really thought that the Orlando Magic are heavily favored in this series but the much experienced Celtics have shown and proved that they are still a team to consider for the finals. Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo, two players instrumental in Boston's surge in the playoffs both came out really big in the game. Aside from a combined 53 points, Pierce and Rondo shot a combined 18 for 32 from the field compensating the off night of Ray Allen who just finished with 4 points and went 0 for 5 from behind the three point arc. Dwight Howard was the lone bright spot for the Magic as he finished with 30 points and 8 rebounds. Vince Carter and JJ Redick added 16 points apiece but didn't shot well. Carter missed 10 of his 15 shots while Redick made only 3 of his 9 attempts. Boston's defense was simply exemplary against the Magic. They didn't give the Magic much looks from the outside, evident of Rashard Lewis poor showing once again by finishing only 5 points, and Glen Davis defense on Howard. Going home to Boston leading 2-0 is definitely big for the Celtics. All they have to do now is to defend their homecourt and avoid going back to Orlando tied at 2-2. All of the advantage is on Boston's side now and they must not give Orlando the momentum in the series. A 2-0 lead still isn't safe against the Magic. Boston should never let their guard down and be complacent.

| | Game 3 would be crucial both for the Celtics and Magic but the momentum is all in the Celtics' side. The Magic has to give a gallant effort in game 3 and they must also defend Rondo well. I think he should be stopped in penetrating and in giving important assists to his teammates. Jameer Nelson could not stopped him, I would like that Stan Van Gundy will put either Pietrus or Barnes on Rondo in game 3. | | | |

| | Yes, key adjustments is important for the Magic. Could they contain Rondo, the will contain the Celtics team. The Celtics should not be complacent, the Orlando Magic is the more hungry after there runner up finished last year. If Boston wins in game 3, the series is over. If the Magic wins convincingly, they will gain momentum. The Magic should shoot their lights out in game 3 to achieve victory. | | | |

| | What I saw on the Magic in the past 2 games was inconsistency. They are being toyed by the Celtics around in the first three quarters and they come to life in the fourth. Also in game 2, Vince Carter, a very decent free throw shooter missed two crucial ones while JJ Redick wasted some precious time before calling a timeout. It could be that Carter was tense in taking those free throws but still it's no excuse, it could have at least changed the outcome of the game. If the Magic could play well in the fourth quarter, then they should do it in all four quarters. The tough task for them at hand now is to beat the Celtics at Boston. If the Celtics did a very great job at Orlando, how much more in Boston. If the Magic continues such showing in games 1 and 2 in game 3, then this could be a sudden turn of events, after sweeping the first two series, they will be swept in the conference finals. | | | |

| |  Game 2 was a very important win for the Boston Celtics. This series will be a lot tougher for the Magics to handle. Being down 2-0 is no joke, and I'm saying this because they lost 2 games in their home-court already. The home-court advantages are very important in series like this. Even though the eastern and western finals isn't done yet, I am already seeing a Lakers-Boston rematch. That will be another interesting NBA Finals series right there.
