it's the same way with our dogs. especially with my mom, who spends all day everyday with them. whenever we travel, i think she worries more about them than for us. :)

wow! was the name also taken from Buffy the Vampire Slayer? That's so nice for you to have 8 dogs. We only have Buffy and I think we're already a full house: My hubby, 2 boys, a dog, and myself!

yes, i love that show. and we notices that when we name our dogs after the cast, they tend to live longer. i know, that's probably ridiculous, but hey, whatever keeps them longer , right? :) well, if you have little kids in a house, even one dog is a handful.

hahaha! the idea of dogs named after characters is pretty interesting! If you think about it, Buffy even outlived the show! Amazing! And yes, even 1 dog is a handful with 2 kids. But my kids are actually asking for another dog --- a male one this time... We'll see.

haha. we didn't really intend on naming them after all the characters. we had a boy first, we just called him spike. then we had a girl and we thought we'd pair them up. then buffy had two puppies a couple of years later, so my brother thought it would be nice if we had all the main characters, so we did. oh yeah, she did outlive the tv show :)
well, it can be good for them, it could develop their sense of responsibility. and i think when kids have pets, they learn more how to interact with others, just my observation though :)

that is one of the reason why we named him takaw and the other one is ,because of a cartoon character named takaw thats very popular when our neighbor gave "Takaw" to us.

haha. our dogs are all 'matakaw'. we have one named 'kulet' and he's really, really playful. originally, his name was supposed to be bailey but my mom called him that since he's so makulit. and it just stuck to him. we always tell our mom that it'sher fault that kulet is a handful since she named him 'kulet' and he's just living up to his name. :)

oh, that's sad. i used to be scared of dogs but once you have them, you can't help but love them.

I too, feel sad dependent had such a bad experience with that cat. When I was 3, I was bitten by our neighbor's mongrel. My parents said I just ran towards the dog and hugged it. That dog bit my cheek and I had to go through all the injections and stuff... Still, I love animals especially cats and dogs.

my brother was accidentally bitten (well, actually, is was more of a scratch) by our dog. but he still loves that dog even if he had to go through all the injections and stuff.

i have this slight fear of guinea pigs actually. i think they're cute but i'm scared to touch them.

oh, that's sad about our dogs. i remember when that happened to us, my brothers and i would stay home instead of going o school and just grieve our loss :)

Yeah our dogs are like family. I stayed home for some time grieving.

oh, that's nice that you got what you wanted. reading this post makes me a little sad though. in my description, i said we have eight dogs, we only have seven now. one of them died the other day.

we had an aquarium when i was younger too. my brother wanted to have one and asking asking for so long, my parents got him one. at first, we really loved cleaning it because we have to get the fishes. every time a fish died, we would go to the pet store to get a new one. after a while, we got tired of it though.
