Hot or Cold Water for bathing... |
| |
| Which do you prefer for bathing- hot or cold water? Personally I love my water HOT especially when I use the shower, it refreshes me and I feel am cleaner (just my thoughts). Even when the weather is hot I still like my water hot although a few times when it is really hot I have a cold bath and it soothes me. I actually feel more alert with a cold bath but I always go back to my hot water. I was reading somewhere that it is not good to use hot water to bath as it would wrinkle your skin. I am not sure how true this is. So which do you prefer hot or cold water and why? Would love to read from you Thanks guys. | | | | | |

| | I agree, in winter it makes sense to use hot water to take your bath lest you freeze to death :D I know what you mean about heating water on the stove. When I was in boarding house for secondary school we had to boil water. That was a pain!!!! | | | |

| | I like hot water in my shower. I was told it drys out your skin which I tend to believe. I have very dry skin and lotion seems like it does not want to work. In the summer I will take a cooler shower. Nothing too cold though just cooler. | | | | | | |

| | If the weather is hot, I'll try bathing with cold water. But if the weather is cold, I'd like to have a hot bath. HAHA. It's usually like that, right? But often times, I prefer bathing with hot water. Cold water always shocks my body. HAHA. =) | | | | | | |

| | Hi seventhblue, I agree, cold water does something strange to the body. Sometimes when I am still sleepy and I use cold water to bath, it knocks my senses up and makes me jump! lol. | | | |

| | well, for me it depends on the weather. When it's a cold weather I prefer hot water and vice-versa. When, I was done doing some strenuous works I wanted to have my bath in a cold water since I live in a hot country and this summer was really a hot one that I need to take a bath in a cold water so that I might not easily sweat and of course to refresh myself. My father would usually say when I take a hot water for bath that he thinks I'm sick. Well, somehow lukewarm or hot water in taking a bath at night time is a good way to relax yourself and freshen up before going to be but if you wanted to be alert from the time you wake up. cold water would definitely be the best. | | | | | | |

| | Hi eil_noz, You are right a hot bath can be refreshing and a cold bath can make you alert. The question is do I care to be alert in the mornings? :D | | | |

| | In my city the temperature goes up as high as 40-45 deg celsius so there's no question of hot water now.lol. In the winter season when the temperature is around 15-20 we use hot water for bathing. | | | | | | |

| | During summer, I prefer cold water but not so cold then I will take a bath outside, we have faucet outside then bathing with kids. But on a rainy seaso until february maybe, we used warm water. I'm not aware of having a wrinkle when you used hot water, but I know that warm water is better than cold. Have a great day! | | | | | | |

| | Some people might argue that cold water is better but I guess we can stay in between- not too hot, not too cold. | | | |

| | For me it depends on the weather, if it's summer, then I prefer cold water, on winter, warm water. For skin care, warm water removes natural oil of skin cause it opens the pores, so it's important that you apply moisturizer after taking a warm bath or put a body oil just before finishing the bath. | | | | | | |

| | Hi elvieb, You are right moisturizer should be applied because the skin might dry out. I haven't tried a body oil before but I am considering it now. Thanks! | | | |
