Family and its importance  |

|  Here in the Philippines we treasure our family so much. We never leave a family member in the streets and we try to find ways to make them stay. Some people though leave their family members in different places because they have ailments or disabilities. But going to main topic we have, my family is an example of a great family who treasures every member they have. Actually by saying family i mean the entire mothers and fathers side. None of our family members go to nursing homes, home for the aged and even worst the streets. My mom and my aunts are good examples of this because my late uncle died because of cancer. They never lost hope that my uncle can still recover and they took care of him till the end. This is how important my family values the word "relationship" and that's why i love my family so much.

| |  There is something similar in India. Most of the families are combined and living with the all members as long as possible. Its like 5 fingers of our hand, if they are together, will become stronger and left alone may be destroyed.

| |  That's great the family is valued so much. It is the same in my family. My Grandmother is 93 in July and lives alone in her own house, but has help from my mother, my aunt, my stepdad and my uncle. (I live too far away.) My Nanna lived in her own home until she was injured in a fall aged 99, so she had to spend a few months in a nursing home but she celebrated her 100th birthday in January 2007 and the whole family had a big party with her - her children, grandchildren (including me and great-grandchildren. Sadly she died a few weeks after her 100th birthday, but it was a special time and she loved being with her family.

| |  Same also in our country Indonesia, family is everything, hard or happy to stay with family together, I think Indonesia and Philippines almost same culture habits, a very close "relationship", I am agree.
