Are your pets fussy? | | | | Our dog eats almost anything. He likes his own food, the cat's food, dinner scraps etc. Our cat is completely different. We have bought different kinds of food for her, but she only likes a few different things, and if she doesn't get the food that she wants, she doesn't eat anything at all. She seems to be a very fussy eater. What about your pets? Are they fussy or do they eat most things? | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

| | samamtha is very picky she will not eat dog food. She will starve till you give her table scraps. I am quite tired of it right now. We got her this way and are trying to break her out of it. I let her go a long time without eating. One day she went to her dog food and at three small pieces. I was happy about that. | | | | | | | | | | Ask a Cat Vet Online Now One of 12 Veterinarians Online Now Answers Your Questions Personally JustAnswer.com/Cat/Health | add comment | | | |

| | I don't know about dogs but my cats are really fussy. They hate any change in their routine - that includes food. | | | | | | | | | | Cat Care Certificate Earn your Certificate in Cat Care at home with Penn Foster. www.PennFoster.edu | add comment | | | |

| | My wife and I have several kind of animals. Our rabbits eat almost anything. Our dog eats also almost anything. However, our cat is very fussy. I think I know why our cat has become so fussy. One day we had a couple of visitors who brought some very delicious food to her. And after that day the cat eats almost only that kind of food. | | | | | | | Porcospino (5853)

| | That sounds familiar. I have tried the same thing with some of my other pets. When they get used to a very delicous kind of food, the ordinary food suddenly seems less interesting... | | | | | | | Your Favorite Restaurant Could be featured for 50-90% off today. | | I'm glad to see my dogs aren't the only ones who are so fussy. They refuse to eat dry dog food, but will go for the DRY cat food as soon as I turn my back. Otherwise they will eat anything, except for ANY brand of dog food I give to them. My cats on the other hand, except for one, are happy with anything including the dog food. Our oldest cat will only eat one brand of cat food though. | | | | | | | Porcospino (5853)

| | Hi mklegg2010 and welcome to MyLot. My parent's dog is very fussy, too. She doesn't eat much and she only likes certain kinds of food. I was very surpriced that my own dog likes everything, I didn't expect that. We have to keep the cat's food away from him, otherwise he would eat it all, because he is much faster than the cat. | | | | | | | The Burger Beast A Blog All About Comfort Food burgerbeast.com | add comment | | | |

| | I don't have any pets now, as I live in an apartment where we aren't allowed to have any. But, I have had many pets over the years, as we lived in a very rural area. We had several dogs, cats, rabbits, goats, sheep and chickens--and all their babies, over a long period of time. I can't recall any of them being fussy, except one Mama cat we had, and even she wasn't very fussy. She only liked canned cat food--no dry. I used to give them canned cat food in the morning when I left for work, leave dry cat food and water out during the day, and give them more canned food when I came home. Since I split it among 3 of them, no one got overfed, but I used to worry that she wasn't getting enough. But, the vet said she was fine--so, that's the way we left her, but I'd give her half a can all of her own, once in awhile, just to be sure. But, it was my big tom cat,Chubby, who used to make me laugh. His name suited him, as he was a big kitty--and a tad lazy. He wouldn't even bother to stand at the dry food dish. He'd knock some pieces onto the floor, lay down next to them, stretch his paw out until it curled around a piece of food and pop it into his mouth! | | | | | | | | | nyhollyjean (2254)

| | I hope you get the chance to do that some day, if it's what you want! My ex-husband and I bought an old "fixer upper" house with 5 acres out in the country. Our goal was to live off the land as much as possible. We had a huge vegetable garden and all those animals. The goats were good for milking, as well as being out natural lawn mowers. The sheep were used for the same thing some of the time, and a sheep shearer would come round and shear the sheep for us in the Spring. I used to sell the wool to a co-op we had in town and in exchange, they would have someone spin the wool and each person who contributed would get an allotment. I crocheted a lot of things that way. We also heated out entire house with wood and had plans to build a windmill. We were considering solar panels as well, but living in the northeast, it's not the best way to go. It was fun, but it was a lot of hard work. I'd do it again though, if I could. Life changed, and so I'm not able to do those things now. It's funny how that idea has become so popular again. It's knowledge, once learned, that no one can take away. | | | | | | | 3 Veggies to a Flat Belly Unusual article shows unique veggies that burn abdominal fat TruthAboutAbs.com/fat-burning | add comment | | | |

| | Our dog sometimes eats the cat's poop as well. It is a disgusting habit, and we have tried to stop him, but it is dfficult, because if we close the door the cat can't use the litter box, and then she starts using the living room as a toilet. I would like to find a way to stop him, but I haven't found a solution yet. | | | | ElicBxn (24681)

| | depends on the size of the dog - if its big, maybe put the litter in a room that you can get the cats to squeeze in the door but the dog can't or maybe a child gate to keep the dog away from the litter box | | | | | | | Litter-Robot Litter Box Never Scoop Again. 90 Day Money Back Guarantee. 18 Month Warranty. www.litter-robot.com | add comment | | | |
