The episode showing how Leonard and Sheldon first met when Leonard rented half the apartment was one of the best they have had. And Leonard telling Penny about it was the best way to present it. It also showed what happened to the elevator and why it hasn't worked since the show started. It was also really funny that Leonard had a girl over and was interrupted by Sheldon because Leonard hadn't given 12 hours notice and then she turned out to be a North Korean spy.
