Could the Magic and the Suns come back from a 0-2 series deficit? |
| |
| NBA fanatics has all been waiting to see the rivalry of the Lakers and the Celtics in this years finals. After stringing losses in both games 1 and 2, the Magic and the Suns were out of the picture. Is it early to say that the Celtics will eventually face the Lakers by taking out the other teams? Or it might be the other way around that the Suns will face the Magic? | | | | | |

| | I'm giving the Orlando Magic a little chance over the Phoenix Suns. The Magic have shown signs of life in games 1 and 2 in the fourth quarter but just ended up short against the Boston Celtics. I still have a little hope on the Magic if they could play the whole game with the same intensity they had on the fourth quarter on games 1 and 2. As for the Suns, I think they'll really be having a hard time against the Lakers. Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom are exerting their might inside and the Suns doesn't have a match. The next 2 games will be in Phoenix and as much as I really want the Suns to get back to the series and even it at 2-2, I'm a little bit skeptical, the Lakers are simply too much for the Suns. For the Magic to get back, they need somebody to really step up to help Dwight Howard and the struggling Rashard Lewis. Vince Carter is playing a decent series but it the rest of the Magic should contribute more and play harder. Jameer Nelson, Matt Barnes, and Mickael Pietrus all need to step up in both offense and defense. Rajon Rondo, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen all had their way against the Magic and they have to stop these to stand a chance. As for the Suns, Amare Stoudemire should step up more inside. Stoudemire is averaging less than 5 rebounds in the first 2 game, quite bad for a 6'10 power forward. Robin Lopez, Jason Collins, and Channing Frye should also have their hands full inside to limit the Lakers dominance and of course, Grant Hill and Jared Dudley should be more aggressive and consistent defensively against Kobe Bryant. It's a hard call but both the Magic and the Suns are in a difficult situation now. | | | | | | |

| | Games 3 for those respective teams are all crucial considering the fact that it has a less probability of winning a series from a 0-3 deficit. The chances of those two teams are big but it depends on what the adjustments they made. | | | |

| | Since I'm a Suns fan, I wouldn't care much for the Magic though I really think that the Magic is the team that could make it to the finals before the series against the Celtics started. For the Suns, I really hope that Alvin Gentry could come up with something to minimize or better yet neutralize the dominance of Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom inside. Jared Dudley has done a good job against Kobe Bryant but he's got to be more aggressive and consistent, he's got to do it for the whole game when Bryant is in the game. I'm really a little bit disappointed in Amare Stoudemire. The Lakers are pounding on the Suns inside and Stoudemire is averaging less than 5 rebounds per game in the first two games. Grant Hill has been superb for the Suns, hitting accurately those midrange jumpers but they definitely need more than that. Stoudemire's inside presence as well as Channing Frye's outside snipings is badly need by the Suns. The next 2 games is in Phoenix and I hope that the Suns could go back to Staples Center tied at 2-2. Another monster passing game for Steve Nash perhaps to lift the Suns up? | | | |

| | The Suns has a big chance of getting back into the series. Stoudemire should be more assertive to the fact that he is the starting big man. But the needed height is a help that Stoudemire wants. He cant play Paul Gasol in the post, thus, he cant also control the rebounds. The height advantage is in favor in games 1 and 2 for the Lakers and to be able to withstood this advanatge, the Suns should play a fast game. | | | |

| | As a Suns fan and as much as I'd like the Suns to win, I just didn't like Amare Stoudemire saying that Lamar Odom just got lucky in game one. Odom dominated inside and pounded on the Suns finishing with 19 points and 19 rebounds off the bench in his best game in the 2010 NBA playoffs. Stoudemire might consider minimizing his comments and let his game speak. Game 3 is today and I hope that the Suns could avoid going down to a 0-3 hole, they couldn't make it if they lose game 3. Stoudemire should do more than a 5 rebounds per game average, it won't work against Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom. One thing that is in favor for the Suns in game 3 is the homecourt. I hope that they could take advantage of it and climb back to 2-2. | | | |

| | I really doubt that the magics can still bounce back. They are defeated in their home court so their chances on winning in Boston is very low. For Suns I really hope they can bounce back. The western conference finals will now shift to Phoenix. Hope this will help them bounce back. | | | | | | |

| | The Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics had a good edge because they are ahead at 2 - 0 against their separate opponents. However, I learned something from one coach whom I admire. H said, "It's not over until it's over." That is truth. The series of both conference is a best of seven affair. A team is not declared a winner until they claim their fourth win. Therefore, it is not the end yet for the Suns and the Magic. If the sun will shine for the suns, then they can win. If the Orlando team will find their magic, it will be a good series. Let's wait and see who will get that win number four. That will be the time that we can have our own conclusions. | | | | | | |

| | It's looking a whole lot like the Lakers vs. Celtics finals will be the case, I just don't see Orlando or Phoenix coming back at all. I say Lakers win the finals in a toughly fought series. | | | | | | |

| | Maybe its early for the Lakers and the Suns, but for the Magic, i don't think they can bounce back from a 0-3 series. They experience a complete meltdown, after sweeping opponents from the 1st and 2nd round of the Eastern Playoffs. They have the talent but what they lack is the experience and most specially, the heart of a championship team. Most people would say that the Celtics are mostly old players dreaming to become champions again, but again, they were right. Never underestimate the heart of a champion. They were plagued by injuries last year that they failed to reach the finals. But this year, with a healthy Garnett and the addition of Wallace for extra body at front court, the Celtics is a team to consider. For the Suns, it's not over for them. They have the experience and the guys to backed the team. They might have a chance for that. | | | | | | |
