Hi Friends,
Sleep is necessary for everyone. I would like to share some points about benefit of sleeping.
Sleeping reduces strokes. We should sleep for 7 to 9 hours every day to keep out heart wealthy. Meanwhile sleeping reduces the possibilities of cancer and also it reduces stress. Also it looks the depression.
So sleep for minimum 8 hours a day and keep your body as healthy and wealthy.

I read somewhere that for adults 6 hours of sleep is enough. 8 hours is ideal but if you sleep up to nine hours it may cause different kindof health issues like diabetes, headache and alot more.

I don't know about it. But sleeping for long hour doesn't cause any head ache. It cures problem like head aches and vomiting.

I sleep 8 hours a day, the right amount of hours but there are situations when i have to sleep for 5 hours or few, sometimes i don't sleep at all and it's cuz of schooling. But i make it up during weekends. I sleep almost all day. :)

So, you are maintaining your health, i think so. If you doesn't sleep for the whole night, you will feel tired and at sometimes, you will affected by head ache.

I sleep up five to eight hours daily and sometimes I might even be sleeping less than fivehours, I know doctors recommend you eight complete hours to gain enough energy and rest to the body but I just cannot sleep for this long because I get tired and then my sleep will break off many times. There is once or twice where I did not sleep at all for the whole twenty four hours and even the next day I don't sleep but then it is not a problem for me because I can read a book the whole night.

Let me know, how it is possible you to work for continous 24 hours. If i work for continously, then i feel very sleepy.

An adult person should sleep 6 hours a day. And a young person should sleep 6-8 hours.
And i always try to sleep 6-8 hours a day. But some time more then it.
Sleep is very necessary for our health.

I am a great internet savvy and i spent most of my time in internet, so i spent 5 to 6 hours per day for sleep. On the other hand i spent 3 to 4 hours per day for mylotting. I like it very much. Happy mylotting.

I used to sleep 8 hrs every day may be 5 to 6 years back but now only 5 hrs. I think with growing age the sleeping hours keeps on reducing.

Not with the growing age, growing work i think so. But we should think also about our health and we need to take care of them. So try to sleep for more 3 to 4 hours a day.

Yes,I agree, tired body ( due to work ) needs more rest . But age too is a factor to reduce the sleep. As a person grow old even 4 hrs sound sleep is sufficient to keep him fresh through out the day.

Although I know that a normal person should sleep at least 8 hours a day, but there are suggestions that 6 hours for adult people are enough. So I have to sleep no more than 6 hours each night. The problem with this is that at around 1pm the next day, I feel sleepy and need to take a nap for a few minutes, then I'm ok.

Well i doesn't think about it. But it will increase the chances of stroke. So why we need to give chance for stroke, we will sleep for some more time and have a healthy life.

Hi, actually I only sleep 6 hours everyday. Hard work,you know,and its heavy work.
Maybe I just have too much sleep past when I was in school. Maybe man's sleeping time is fixed,life is symmetrical,when we own it means that we will lost it either.

I don't get enough sleep everyday. as much as i wanted to sleep, i can't. i have been going through a sleep disorder for years. i usually get 5 hours of sleep everyday... i am hoping and praying that i would be able to sleep 8 hours a day when i go back to school this coming semester.. i am not allowed to get stressed because i am diabetic...

I usually try to sleep between 7 and 9 hours a night. If I can't get that many hours, then I try to at least get 6 hours of sleep a night. I know that if I get less than that, I find that I can't function as well I could with a little more sleep. But that's how I find that my body works.
