hey recently i have known by my friend about granola software which helps to reduce the power consumption while using the computer. so i decided to contribut myself to environment and install this software for past 1 week.. try this and contribute to world enviroment.
I too have heard about such software . But I really don't believe that such software help in reducing the power consumption of the computer . Because power consumption of a computer really dependent on the hardware it contains and not really on such software . Only thing the software might be able to do is just reduce the brightness of the monitor and that will in no way reduce significant amount of electricity . A software cannot determine the way a hard disk or a processor consumes energy . If you want to conserve real electricity , change the hardware of your computer to power efficient hardware .
