It sounds to me like you have a loose connection between your monitor and your CPU. Check the connection. 'No Signal' message comes when the monitor is not connected to a CPU. It could be that the plug connecting the CPU could be a little loose.

You said that your system is down but you are able to on it, so that means your system is actually running?

You said that there is this "no signal" prompt, I am assuming it's the prompt for your internet connection, and probably you are using wireless internet connection?

If it's your internet connectivity problem, they could be a few possibilities. So let me know if I am correct with the problem that you are facing first or what's the scenario that you encounter in details.

yes, i agree with the other responses. It is probably the connection of your monitor to the CPU. Check the cable after turning it on and wiggle it and see if something happens. If it becomes clear at a certain position, try keeping it there. But if not, and if there is a computer shop in your area, you can also try testing it. Unless i am wrong, there can only be two possible outcomes there. First, the cable is working or the cable is not. IF the cable is working, then the one with the problem is either the CPU or monitor; but if it is not working, then get a new cable :)

Hi yuga, i miss you a lot for the past two days, i found that your reply is missed to my discussion, i am always expecting your reply while i make a new discussion, you always satisfied my expectation by replying to all my discussions, but it is missing my past two days discussions, i think you are not active here for some other reasons, now only i find the reason is virus problem.

For me i use avast anti virus to protect my system it is very much useful for me. previously i used avg free version, it also helps me very much. So i strongly recommend you to use avg or avast. Have a nice day.

I don't know if you will agree on what I am doing with my computer at home. I don't have any anti-virus installed at my computer. Instead, I have a DeepFreeze installed in it. It is really reliable. If ever you are infected by a virus, specially when you are surfing the internet, just turn off your PC and the next time you turn it on, everything will return, But leave a partition in your disk that is unfreeze. This is where you'll save all your important data.

"No signle" message comes when monitor does not receive any signal from CPU. In most of such cases there will be some loose connection at either end of the cable connecting Monitor to CPU or the cable is cut.

Is your system overloaded ? just a suggestion :)).The most practical thing to do would be to call a computer expert and ask him to attend to your problem since it seems to be recurring - all the best !

I am in full agreement with others' comments. If your CPU i.e. the system starts normally and continues to run, the display is bad. Check the monitor's cable connecting to your computer. If you are using Laptop, you had it. You may have to seek assistance from service people, or connect a normal monitor to check if you have the port available on your laptop. That is the best option, before you allow the service people shred your laptop to pieces. The problem does not seem to be that of Virus. Hope you will find it to be simple connection problem.

Yes, I too have that system, the moment the desktop comes alive, there’s a notice from the ISP that ‘you have successfully logged in’. however, since the message you got was ‘cannot log in’, I think the problem was with the server of your ISP. It happens many times with me too…maybe after a storm or if the wind is too strong, the wires get disconnected and the connection to the server snaps. Have you spoken to your ISP?
