love i think is as old as humanity, (well if don't believe in creation) you can certainly argue, but that is not my point. my point is that your question is long been answered in ancient times, although science has been trying ways to dispute it as a cerebral activity (not the love that resides from the heart) it is still universally recognize as a hidden force, the very complexity of the feeling we normally call as love.

I do not believe love exists between a girl and a boy. I think there can be a strong attraction and feelings of intamacy, but love, i don't buy into it. Simply because look at ever other animal species out there. Most animals mate with many other animals in their own species. I think that we humans take a liking to one another and become a monogamous pair. There are many other species of animals that become monogamous pairs but they do sometimes mate with other memebers of their species. We(humans) seem to be exclusive. We want one mate and we want them for life. So basically i do not believe a love can exist between a girl and boy but i believe that a soul mate or a mate can be achieved. Human emotions is never easily explained :) Cheers!

I believe love can be between a boy and a girl, a girl and a girl, or a boy and a boy. Love is love. There really aren't boundaries there. I love my partner with all my heart. I also love my family and my friends. Love is all around.
