Daring Jesus

I'm fascinated by everything about Jesus. But most especially how daring he was in confronting the Pharisees. In church I've always been taught to be polite with leaders. But Jesus was different. He called the religious leaders of his days fools, white-washed tombs, hypocrites, vipers, sons of hell, and shouted "Woe to you!" And these were very biblical leaders who belonged to God's people. As I meditate more on Jesus I learn newer and more amazing things no one in church has taught me.

I hear ya on this one! I was thinking about this not long ago. In my thoughts I realized Jesus basically addressed three groups of people: the religious, the crowds and His disciples. The Pharisees He called,"hypocrites." The crowds He referred to as sheep; and His disciples He called, "friends." Just thought that was pretty interesting!

Must have been hard for Jesus to walk in two roles as he did. As deity he also was man, complete and as normal as any man. He probably had a dog and longed for a girl friend as most men do. However he chose to put the weaknesses of man to one side and complete his mission here as hard as it was. He was more than man, he was a really great man while here with us.

As you continue to walk with the Lord you will discover many things about his love and goodness. The reason why he confronted the Pharisees is because they were more concern about their recognition rather than concern what really what God wants. It blew their mind away when one Sabbath day Jesus decided to heal someone. It was againts their law at that time but Jesus was trying to teach them something about Sabbath day. Sabbath day is Gods' day.

Jesus was and still is the most important human person who lived on earth. He had an assignment and he finished it bravefull. He helped poor and ill people, he showed us how to live, how to love, how to be a human person, how to believe in God. There are so many things we can learn of him. Jesus is stil nowadays a great example for many people and more people should learn about and from him. Maybe it's only a coincidence, but always I listen the song 'I don't know how to love him' from the musical Jesucrist Superstar, I get tears in my eyes and goose skin. (If you want to listen this song, you'll find it in youtube.)
