Does your country has women violence?  

There are alot of women violence in my country (ph) , well there are many battered wives out there. Thats why there are some organizations that helps battered wives and women on their protection. There are also child molestations.

I a guessing you're from the Philippines? I am too. It's sad that in some countries, religions and cultures, women are just 2nd class citizens. Men have the all the power and their ego drives them to treat their wives like slaves. In some countries where we have a lot of Filipina domestic helpers, those countries typically have the culture mentioned above. They also have the tendency to think highly of themselves, making or DHs 3rd class citizens, but since there are women DHs, they're like 4th class citizens there and they treat them like trash. That's why we get news where Filipinas get killed by their employers or they kill their employers. It's a sad sad story :(

There are battered women here in the UK too. We have developed shelters for them - Maeve Binchy is very involved - we have some battered men too. Batterers are prosecuted in Court but sometimes their victims won't testify so they get away with the molestation. Like with violated kids it's a power thing.

I am from the United States and we have battered women here as well. I was actually in a shelter for abused women when I gave birth to my younger daughter. It isn't so much that cases of abuse are increasing, but we are all becoming more aware of the problem and are working together to try and get help to those in need. Though the services definitely need to improve, they are definitely on the right path at least in regards to battered women. Sadly no services as yet exist for battered men.

And I am not going to pretend to understand why a man hits a woman. All I know after a lot of therapy is that the abuse I suffered was not my fault. Abusers tend to condition their victims into believing that it is. It is not an easy conditioning to break free from.

I'm Canadian, and I can certainly say that violence against women are present here as well. It's sad to say, but yes it's here. I'd definitely would be lying if I said that violence against women isn't present in Canada.

Every country has it Baby, it is a universal phenomena, women are exploited in home, in work place, govenment is sielent over this issue..
