When I was in French Polynesia I got to snorkel with black tipped sharks and sting rays. The sharks had such very sharp teeth. It was so exciting to do that but it could have turned nasty I believe. In Belize I got to snorkel with nurse shark and sting rays. That was quite relaxing I thought at that time. I was snorkeling in Samoa and I was out a long way looking at coral. I was really having a wonderful time looking down through my mask at all the colorful coral. I was loving meeting all the friendly fish. When I looked up I had been pushed out to sea. The tide was strong and was trying to push me further and further out to the ocean. I was scared and I had to swim in a semi circle to get out of the tide. I was exhausted by the time I eventually managed to get back to the shore. It was Christmas time in North Queensland and I wanted to swim but I was worried about the possibility of stinging box jellyfish. I put on a pair of tights and went for my swim after asking local people about the possible danger. Small sharks are fine but large sharks are dangerous. I have seen crocodiles but gladly not at close range. I have seen them in Australia and in Belize. I have seen hippos in Kenya.

I have quite a good sense of adventure I think. Over the years I have collected some very exciting memories. I remember snorkeling with the black tipped sharks. Wow! I didn't want to go cage diving in South Africa to see the great white sharks. Yes, it is wise to be careful.
