How long can a love last?  

The thing about love is, you constantly fall in and out of love. There is no real "happily ever after" like the romance novels claim, people disagree, it's just going to happen. The problem is when people don't take the commitment seriously, then you have a break-up or divorce. Anytime you have two people with two different personalities, you will have times when you just disagree, those who can honor the commitment can agree to disagree without the dramatic ending. Once you have two people who are mature enough to look at it like that, then you will be able to find your own true happy ever after.

Love last in early stage or in a longer span of time because love will fade. If both parties won't cooperate with each other, showing all their negative aspects which leads to an argument. But if both parties have the patience,acceptance, understanding, respect, care and love. I guess love will last long.

I would suggest to minimize reading and watching love stories because they are influencing or giving us unnecessary ideas about love. Love is a commitment between two person and it is up to them to keep that commitment going. It boils down to "want" and "need". You would often hear "I want you" but remember, "want" is fleeting or temporary as supposed to "I need you" which is deeper in scope and meaning. Lovers who have gone in their separate ways had wrong expectations with their partners and one would never know their partners not until they're living in one roof. Love is not a one way street where in only one person is doing the work, it is a cooperation between two person and they are in a symbiotic relationship.

well, for me it depends on the persons involve. sometimes two people love each other, but they're not willing to fight for it. sometimes, one person's still stays fighting for them, but then the other one's not willing to. it's not just love that matters, it's the people too. sometimes even if two people part ways, love's still there.

Well for me its depend on the lover, how they handle their relationship, no one can tell how long can love last because were all different, we have unique character, for some they love will only last after he gets want he wants from the girl and viceversa, and other is like I love you now but tomorrow I don't love you and for some people their love last for eternity those are people who really know what the true meaning of love.

In real world, lifelong love is seldom existed. I think that the perfect status of forever love in fictions or movies is ridiculous. One can fall in love with more than one person in his or her lifetime.

It depends on the couple. If you really love the person and the other one does as well, you usually have to fight for your love every day of your live. It's not enough to say: I love him or her and he or she loves me. Love doesn't stop there. It is something you have to take care of every day. It's like a flower which needs water every morning to grow up. So does love, there is no limit to grow.

Nowadays, many people doesn't take care of. Yesterday, a person was with someone, today he or she stays with another one and tomorrow it's again someone different and they really don't mind to change couple every few days, weeks or month. A lot of people are very superficial, want to be autosuficient and independent, they want to live their life on their own...We turned up our minds to be more egoist and less honest. So it's quite difficult to conserve love with only one person during a whole live.

Love can last a whole live if you take care of it as a flower you cast every day. But nowadays, people turned more independent, autosuficient and selfcomplished and they don't mind to take care of their partner. That's why I think the relations don't last in the present. But at the end of their lives, when they get old and stay alone, I suppose they will be sadden about not to have anybody on their side with whom they may share their precious time.

In most of our films the main theme is that of two youngsters falling in love ie; boy and girl.
The film ends when they get married. The reason is that soon after they start fighting and the scene is not worth watching and so no one will pay for watching it.
Love is a sublimated facade of a biological urge. If any love lasts beyond the youthful infatuation that becomes divine.To stick to each other through thick and thin,braving all the vicissitudes of life one requires something more than the initial infatuation.
Faith in God and the belief that He brought them together with a purpose to be fulfilled through thei union will definitely help then in carrying on. Such a belief also gives the courage to face life all throgh because there is God with them all the time to help.

I believe everyone has a soul mate and until we find them, then we're going to go through experiences with love or lust and that's just practice for the real thing. It's just like life itself you have to learn lessons for the next. In movies or romance books, I'm sure those characters have already gone through the lessons of love too.
