Enquires on antivirus software  

In my personal experience, I highly recommend you to use "ESET Nod32 Antivirus version 4.xx" because it is the best one to find malwares,viruses in your mail system, Hard disk's and all. East to use, not much space required, No big size of update file, not reduce the computer performance like speed,booting time compared to Norton,bitDefender...

I am using Avira AntiVir, it's free and so far, it performs good and yet you can upgrade to a paid version for maximum seciruty. Try it my friend

Try avast! antivirus, if you want, you can search it on the net, its probably the best anti virus, depends on the users though :)

My personal recommendation would be ESET Smart Security. You go to their site, download the program, then just make as many e-mail addresses as you wish to get the same number of trial credentials, unless you want to buy it. :) I've never had a problem with this anti-virus in 2 years of using it. Apart from some game or program key generator which are nowadays considered trojans, the program is excellent. :)

go with Microsoft Essentials instead if you don't have the money to pay for a subscription.

So many choices out there. It depends on whether you're willing to pay for your anti-virus or not. I prefer not to because you can get the expensive ones you have to pay for because there are more widely used and available ones on the internet which are just as capable. I'd recommend these.

I have tried Avira, Avast, AVG, and a few other anti virus software. Currently I am using Comodo Internet Security because it suits me.

CIS is free. The additional features in the paid version are not that important to many Internat users. I have been using it for around two years and so far have never been bugged by any upgrade ads.

CIS gives the option to set the security level. In addition the latest version has a sandbox feature. As I understand it at lealst another free anti virus software has this feature added to it but I have some bitter memory about it.

Ideally CIS should be installed before other anti malware software. Otherwise it may not work properly until the system has been restarted several times. Setting it at its highest level may result in a longer system scan activity.

I dislike software which regularly dials home without permission.
