what are some reasons why my thumb would go numb?

I was thinking it was numb b/c My neck has been stiff the last little while. what do you think?

You could have a trapped nerve. A massage could help that. Get someone to rub your neck for you, or you could try it yourself. Also try a heat pad over the back of your neck.
