What kind of auto insurance do you carry? What are you paying for it by the month; or what are you paying by the year or half year for it? I am using safeco. It's running me $58 a month. I would probably like to find a different carrrier. What about you?

Fully comprehensive with National Farmers Union Mutual, at about £20a month for my 4x4 cheaper than anyone else and most excellent service I have ever had with a company. Thoroughly satisfied and recommend them to anyone. Do you have mutual companies in US? They have no shareholders so profits go to customers. all the best urban

Ive just taken out a new policy, my first insurance and my first car!! Was so excited!! Anyway Ive paid for the full insurance for the year and have breakdown cover included in it for £642 for the year. Not sure how much that is in dollars but it the was the best quote I had and I spent ages on the phone to different insurance companies.

I never knew that other countries required auto insurance. I do know that some states in the USA don't make it mandatory. Little by little, auto insurance is becoming mandatory.

Yeah we have to have it here, its illegal to drive a car without insurance. I think it should be the law everywhere, as its not a good situation if you get hit by an uninsured driver!

AAA is that the same company that offers towing etc? Do you usually pay it once a year or in installments?

I don't have insurance. I only have home and life insurance (with my mortgage). I'm hoping to get a car, so that would be something that I need to look into it. There's far too many types of insurances it can be quite overwhelming.
