Whats your best way for removing carpet stains?

Besides getting the carpet cleaner in, what have you found to be a good way to get rid of carpet stains? I have used vinegar & water which can be very good but it doesn't get rid of all stains. I also use a carpet stain remover (a VERY cheap brand) which I have found to be VERY effective but for those REALLY stubborn stains, what do you use?

i wouls like to wash it with surf with an spong.I like surf frengnane that why and then vacume it thats the best way to remove stain from the carpet.Actually i love this thing to to like cleaning house an all i enjoy it..
