As a lot of you know... I have a 15 month old son.... problem is, it does not seem to matter how many times I clean his ears out, he just seems to have so much wax come up to the inside of his ears. Every evening in the bath I clean them, but the next day I notice some more showing. Where does it come from, why does he always seem to have so much wax in his ears. Anyone know the answer???

I think it is very common for babies and toddlers to have a lot of earwax. However, if the child is having a difficult time hearing then you should let the doctor check it out (which they should be anyway at checkups).

great answer shar19... and, truly, one should be always checking the reflexes of the kids... and, toddlers. LIKE, you said, ... difficulty in hearing.. How should one check about this? ... :simple: start making noise or calling and cooing the baby from one side of the bed. The baby should turn the head to that direction. And, repeat the same, while the baby is distracted to some toy, from another side of the bed. The baby's attention should instantly diverted to you.. and it should shift the head to the source of noise, sound. Goodluck, and thanks for the support.

Dont want to give any idea or fact ,its better to consult ENT doctor there as I also have 15 month old daughter and always she suffers with some sort of allergy ...I just go through doctor consultation and dont believe in any other hypothesis or facts.

I don't know but i was like that when i was the same age or younger. And your complain was like my mom's too but she was saying it to my father. Lol. I remember her telling me to not play too much cuz she thinks it's caused by sweat or something but i don't know. :)

Even though it is a common thing and the quanity of wax is more than expected, better to show a doctor and get a confirmation of why and what. Also, the climatic conditions may affect. However, you can evaluate the position and if required go to the doctor, after all it is ear. Some ear drops would help, but a qualified ENT specialist. Regards, Thank-s

I experienced that. I have an ear infection. My ear hurts and lots of ear wax is coming from my right ear. I suggest you let a doctor check up your son. He can give you the best answer.
