Is the battery life of your laptop last long as they claim to be?

Some laptop computer claim to be last long over 20 hours, that is what they said in the box when I purchase them. After some 5 hours recharging. The battery only last about 3 hours or so. My computer just turn - off, and I have to recharge it again. How about your laptop?

5 hours to charge and lasts for about 3 hours?! you have a nice laptop! i have a 17 inch dell inspiron xps gen 2. it is a nice laptop i guess, but it is older. it does the job, has a nice sized screen, but this model doesnt hold a battery connect for long! it took me a while to figure out it was a problem with the production of these laptops, that after a couple of months it no longer reads a battery. i have a new battery just waiting, but i never needed to put it in, because i can only use my laptop when it is plugged in. still, i am grateful because i get to play many games on my laptop, it has nice graphics card and nice processor so, i cant complain. but i do hope to have a better one soon...only i really dont need a better one. i just want a better one! but i am not vain in my thinkin...so i deal with this one...for now!
