What do you think of "hypnosis" do you think it works..have you ever been

I've never been hypnotized. Though if I would ever consider such a thing I would make sure a trusted person or family member was along in the room to make sure the right "suggestion" was being told to me KWIM?

I sure do! I think in some countries, hypnosis becomes an alternative to anesthesia. It is being used as an alternative because it makes the patient unaware of whats happening specially in surgery. I just cant remember where I read or watch it.

when i was younger ( much ) i was hypnotized and acted like a chicken clucking around on stage. now i do know a couple of friends that went to try to quit smoking and that didnt work at all. so im not really sure.

I think it's real but I do think certain people claim to have the ability when they don't. I don't quite believe those people who have shows because sometimes the people they use seem to be actors and don't look like normal people. I've heard it as sides effects but I don't know. When I was suffering badly with depression I was offered the chance to experience it but I don't trust people enough for this.
