do you have any tips for a piano beginner?

Hi,dear friends, I have a niece who wants to start to learn how to play piano because she think piano is such a wonderful musical instrument which withstood the test of time. And do you have any tips for a musical instrument beginner? Like what should she be careful when she choose a mentor and any other tips for her.Thanks

Susan, the piano is the most basic of all the instruments. By that I mean, when you know how to play the piano, it is easy enough to learn how to play other instruments.
Go to a university near you and inquire about teachers. Usually, a piano major can already teach beginners. The camaraderie between the teacher and the pupil is important. Ask your niece if the prospective teacher is to her liking (appearance-wise). A pianist is always conscious of how he/she presents his/her self on and off the stage.
