Modern Happiness

We are not naive enough to deny that modern culture had its own seduction. Be famous and rich and beautiful and got to exclusive parties: only then you will be happy. But that was a song of desperate. If it wasn't, why were so many rich, famous, and beautiful people taking drugs? Why couldn't they seem to hold a marriage together? Why were they always getting arrested? Why did they seem so unhappy when removed from the spotlight?

I think, modern is not about modern or classic. because happiness is from the inside and can't be measured by things or stuff. happiness is a choice not just fallen suddenly when we're got the good stuff. it's pure from the inside!@

I think everyone wishes they were rich, and the image of rich people that most hold is that of wild partying or a glamorous life. When really there are tons of rich people outside of hollywood who don't do any of that stuff. People who earn an honest living at a resteraunt or a school are probably way happier than those rich celebrities to go a different rehab clinic every month, and they don't even realize it. It's like that old saying about the " one bird in the hand is better than two birds in the bush " or something.lol i probably missed the whole point of that saying and totally miss quoted it .

So is the 50's image of happiness not relevent any more? I always thought of that a good job, spouse and house are the basis of happiness for most people.
