Being an Indian, it pleasures me to know that you are really interested to visit our country. You are always here in India. It is thickly crowded but I am sure if you can tour the whole of India, you will feel that what is 'unity in diversity'.

Hi I went to India in Oct 2008 and really enjoyed my time there. Although I experienced a cultural shock when I was there, I soon got over it and just enjoy the experience. River Ganges is a must go place, we travelled by boat along the banks and there are many sights to see. It is very unforgetable experience. Also, if you like Indian cuisine, the food there is superb, I just can't take the Indian food here anymore ever since I've come back as I cannot forget the taste there. We went to Taj Mahal (of course!) and it is as beautiful as what you see in postcards. The very cool thing to do when you are inside is to shine a torch at the gemstones inlaid into the walls, they will turn luminous which is simply amazing.
Speaking as a tourist there, I think it's very much up to individual's feelings about it.

I haven't yet been to India but one day I hope I will be able to go there one day in the future. When I do go there I would like to see the Taj Mahal. I would also love to see the beaches of Kerela. I think that there are many other places in India worth visiting. I would choose to go outside the rainy time of the year. I would buy a train pass and then I would be able to travel all around India by train.
