Milka By Kraft Foods Really Is A Poor Excuse For Chocolate!

John bought me a treat and told me to "look in the fridge" which I did.
Nestling in there was a medium-sized bar of Milka chocolate.
Now, I have boycotted anything made by Cadbury AND Kraft Foods since the latter took over the former as I worry about the standard of chocolate that Cadbury may make in future.
I worry even more now because Milka is made by KRAFT FOODS and it shows!
I am sorry if I upset any of my US friends (where Kraft Foods is based of course) but they can't make chocolate, it doesn't taste of anything so why do they bother?
STICK TO MAKING PHILADELPHIA CHEESE!
Half of the Milka bar is still stuck in the fridge and there it will stay until my hubby eats it. This must be the first time ever I have refused to eat chocolate..it's not because Kraft Foods make it...it's just horrible.
How about you? Have you been able to compare both Cadbury and Kraft Foods chocolate and which do you prefer?

I did not know that Kraft had a chocolate line. I imagine it is to taste like milk, and I prefer to drink milk and eat Dark Chocolate.

Well I can bet your Bottom Dollar that Cadbury will probably have to cut corners with their Dairy Milk (due to the Kraft takeover) by NOT using a glass and a half of full cream milk in each bar. If the Milka is anything to go by..Cadbury standards will slip.
Such a shame.

honestly, I don't know that I've ever seen any chocolate made by Kraft...
Hersey and Nestle make most of our chocolates over here, oh, I'm sure there are other, better, brands, but MOST of the chocolates are from them, and they aren't bad. Not gourmet chocolates, but not bad.
I would say to give Cadbury a chance again, even as bad as Kraft is on making chocolate, I'd bet they had to sign an agreement to buy Cadbury to not change the recipe...

That was my thought, they probably have Cadbury as their top of the line. I like Hersheys, and I like Dove Dark Chocolate Promises.

I could think of another name for it and it begins with c and ends in p but I won't.

That's exactly the reason why I said Kraft should stick to making cheese. I mean, Cadbury wouldn't make Kraft Philadelphia "cheese" so why should Kraft get into making OUR chocolate? They haven't got a clue I'm afraid!

I always thought Milka was German or Swiss or something, for some reason? Maybe it used to be in the past?
Anyway, I kind of like Milka's hazelnut and raisin (or is it hazelnut and fruit?) bars, but I do agree that most of their other stuff is a bit bland, even if I am not an expert on this particular brand.
I think Cadbury makes really excellent chocolate thougH!

I did too until I saw the words "Kraft Foods" on the back of the packet. To say I was shocked is an understatement. Whoever made it originally has obviously been gobbled up by Kraft.
Scary thought!

I've never heard of the milka bar, why is it called that? I didn't know kraft made chocolate. I agree, they should stick with cheese! I've actually never been a big fan of Cadbury because I like plain milk chocolate, I don't really like any thing mixed with it like the cream and caramel stuff in the eggs. But I am most certain Cadbury is better at making chocolate bars than kraft haha. I'm a big Hersey's fan myself.

Check out a Cadbury bar called Bournville...which is probably named after the region of Birmingham Cadbury is based. That's dark chocolate and is very nice. Hopefully, you can get it where you are.

I am an avid lover of the chocolate bar! I have never heard of the milka chocolate bar until this discussion. Thank you for the tips and advice on this product. It is probably something I would have tried and been disappointed with.
