How to see old Google maps?

Well, I wanted to see my native place where I was born. There was earthquake at that place in 2001, now everything is changed there. But I want to see the map of before that earthquake, that means map of year 2000. Mylotters, can I do so? Does anyone have experience or knowledge regarding that? I am so eager to see my place, where I played with my old friends, where I enjoyed most memorable moments of my life. Can anyone help me please? Love you all !!
