Is a table of labels(tag) important for a blog?

In blogs after posting an article we used to write appropriate labels (tags) under the articles. I know they are very important. But there is a table (gadget)which contains the list of lables in a blog. Do you think it is very important. I like to remove that gadget named labels which contain the list of lables (Not the labels under every articles.) from my blog. is it adveisable? profies please.

Think of the labels (or tags) gadget as an index that you provide your readers. It's easier for readers to see related articles or blog posts based on certain words. From time to time, people actually use the index so it's best to have one on a blog. I recommend using a tag cloud because it is much more informative than the usual list of labels.

What is the difference in tag and labelsß I thought both are same in meaning.

Yup. They are the same. But when you are referring to the arrangement of keywords where the more popular words are shown bigger, then "tag cloud" is the widely used term. It's awkward to use "label cloud".

Yes, you should tag if you can, and as specifically as you can. Not for others, but for your own sake. You will get more visitors through search engines this way, which will benefit you and your blog!

I have blog and I also do blogging. Sometimes in my post I will put labels not always. I only put labels if I am not in a hurry or if its available in my pc. Because in my pc in the office labels field is not available I could not see it. So I just ignore it and dont put labels. I guess its just ok.
