Serial killers?

When I took Psychology we studied serial killers and I noticed most of the criminals are Caucasian american. I'm not saying only white folks are the serial killers but why? Why did we study the behaviors of the White serial killers? What about the other races, Asians, Blacks, Native Americans,Hispanics,and Europeans?

I watched Criminal Minds television series and most of their serial killers are white. But when I checked the serial killers lists in Wiki, the top serial killers are from Latin America. But surprisingly, there are a lot of serial killers in every nations, not only in North America. Some say that Genetics is a factor why these people became serial killers.
