A drought amongst the floods!! / myLot

Local floods - Yet we are supposidely in a drought!!

After over two weeks of constant rain this was the scene locally yesterday when roads and some homes in the area were flooded. More pictures here http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-10705807 Amazingly this areas is and has been for nearly two weeks in an official 'drought area' and has a hose pipe ban running (not that any of us are wanting to water our gardens at the moment!!) The water authorities are not backing down saying that we are getting the 'wrong kind of rain' and that it is doing no good! Can you see why people in the area are so annoyed!!

Thanks for sharing friend. Such situations are common in our country also. It appears the nature has gone mad, but i think it is due our unnecessary interference with enviornment. Welcome always.

In this case it is not nature that has gone mad but the authorities in charge!!! While the South of the country has been basking in heat waves all the time we have been getting wet through they have no hose pipe ban, we are sodden anf flooded but have one!!!!
