I heard this statement somewhere....i don't know, where i heard or where i read....? actually, i was just pondering over this for quite some time now...does it make any sense? it might hold good for some cases...but , while making a statement like this, it should hold god for more than 75%...isn't it? so, my question for you folks, how far is it true......and dioes it makes any sense first of all.....what do you think about this.....

Heh heh. I like this question. I think I have heard the statement before, but not often. I THINK what it means is that people with little moral values get ahead in life. It is a sweeping generalization. I don't think it's true. Especially since in my last job I met lots of wonderful people in higher echelons of success, etc. They were very generous and kind. I think this sort of statement is easy for someone to use as an excuse for their lot in life rather than working harder or smarter. And also, it is a self-fulfilling prophecy because I believe our thoughts, words, and actions bring our circumstances to us. I have seen this happen on many occasions. Then a negative person can say, "See? I was right!" But that is all they gain. And who wants to be right about that? Also, I think it was popular in some religions to glorify being poor so people would give all their money to the church. That could have something to do with it.

hm...you made it look so simple....but it is not that simple as you said....you might seen some worst people holding high poisitions in life....that too after doing so many bad things in life...i am explaining these things coz, ihave seen some people going to to after doing so many bad things in life and still are doing bad things...may be 95% bad things and 5 %good things just coz, we all know that we cannot keep 100% anywhere....so, put this 5% good things also...lolz... .and i really don't know what good things they might have done.....this, sometimes keep me wondering...after doing so many bad things, how come they are stillat the ebst seat...anyway's it becomes a logic if we go on like this...as arguments will be there on both sides here...anyway. thanks for your comments terry....

Well, of course there is both. There are people in the best seats who have the worst behavior and people in the best seats with the best behavior and probably everything in between. But, what I meant to say was that I think the nature of the statement is to say that ONLY the people with the worst behavior end up ahead, and I don't think that's true. We can't really know why this happens, but I trust there is a larger plan that someone is keeping track of. ;)

It's just an expression. And a bad one at that.
