how to convert divx (avi,mkv, mpeg,etc) to dvd? So it can be played using dvd player.

i have some movies in my external harddisk. I'm used to watch through laptop because the file formats are avi and mkv. I've got it by downloading from internet. Today my friend want to copy my collections, but actually he would bought them if these all can be played through dvd player. Please help me to convert these files to dvd format. Any freeware software to convert these all? Thanks for your explanations.

you can download a free software to convert it.searching using converting avi to dvd or other file. there's a lot file in internet if you want to searching it. good luck. anyway what movie you have it?

i have enough horror movies in my external harddisk, but these all just can be played using pc/laptop. Thanks for your response.

i think there are dvd that plays divx. i believe when you convert divx to other format.. it might affect the video quality.
