Imagine you are already in your retirement years. Then you look back the years in your life and ask yourself:
1. What have you done in your life's years?
~ What did you do? Did you just bury yourself in work?
Did you spend half of your life working for money?
How much quality time did you spend with your loved ones
2. How far did your contributions go?
~ All of us had contributed to other people's lives, that is a fact. But the real question is:
"How much impact did you make? Did your country benefit from it - on a larger scale?"
3. How many dreams have you achieved?
~ Being wealthy doesn't mean having tons of money, but the true measure of wealth
is on the number of dreams you have realized. Those dreams may be your own or somebody else'.
How many of those dreams have you ever reached? Or have you fully reached any of them?
4. What legacy will you be leaving to the next generation?
~ If you come from a poor family - your grandparents or your parents died poor,
will YOU also DIE POOR? Or WILL YOU CHANGE THE HISTORY OF YOUR FAMILY?
or are you going to leave this life a SO-SO?
5. What is your greatest regret?
~ Most often than not, we regret the things we failed to do than the things we did.
WHY? Because you knew in your heart that YOU CAN do those things, you just allowed FEAR
to conquer you or any other excuses at that.
6. Did you live your life PURPOSE?
~ We exist for a reason. We exist for our purpose. If you hear someone says he doesn't want to live,
it is because he has not discovered his purpose yet and so much of living it.
Will you die not discovering and doing your purpose?
7. How happy and contented are you with how you lived your life?
~ The answers come from within. How much have we discovered and developed of ourselves?
Most of our used-to-be hardworking grandparents do not feel happy during their retirement years
because they rely on their pension (which are oftentimes not enough for their medical bills!)
If you are going to summarize your life - how happy would you feel about it? Is your life something
that you wish to be retold to your grandchildren and be their role model? Or is it a life full of doubts,
fears and hesitations?
If you'll travel to the future and ask yourself with these questions, would you be able to answer them with full happiness and regret-free?IF NOT, DO SOMETHING NOW!
