healthy eating plan for our family

mt twin boys have type 1 diabetes,my teenager son has bad eating habits,myself is over weight due to eating at night like between 11pm to 3am.can you please help,i was never taught the healthy way of eating.

Eat 5 to 6 mini-meals per day, keep fresh fruit and cut up vegetables in the house for snacks, make sure to only eat 30 grams of carbs per mini-meal(don't forget to count the fruits and veggies). You can also get recipes from the American Diabetes Assocation web site at http://www.diabetes.org. Finally, do not drink fruit juices.
