Are you attentive in listening to the homily of the mass in church?

Do you always listen to the gospel and sermon of the priest inside the church? Or are you the one that is always sleepy or does not pay attention to the priest since you are thinking something else? 
In my case it depends, I am being attentive if the homily is alive and the topic is interesting but then if I am bored I can't avoid to think something else.

Metratonik, I enjoy the Mass tremendously. When I go to church for the services, I really do feel that I am having a one hour date with the Almighty. During the Liturgy of the Word, I am listening to my date and He tells me the most wondrous things. How can I not be attentive?
Sit in the front pews so that you will not be disturbed by the lukewarm attendees. You will experience how great a date God is.

Thanks for the advise eileenleyva. Sometimes I have learned something from the priest which sinks me until now. For example the difference of being "mabuti" and "Mabait".

The priests had been commandeered by the Church to deliver in-depth homilies. The priests in our parish and those who say mass on tv, give very interesting sermons. Tune in to Channel 23 on Sunday at 9 o'clock. I like Fr. Mario's stories.

Like you, it depends on the priest. In my defense, I try! I try really hard but lately I have been preoccupied with a lot of issues in my life that my mind just drifts away during the sermon. I also try to read Fr. Orbos' column before or after the mass to catch up on what I will probably miss or missed.

If you were just preoccupied of your issues in life sometimes I am preoccupied of thinking weird stuff or any funny stuffs when I am just being bored with the sermon of the priest. 
and sometimes and I am making day dreaming that is kinda impossible. But of course sometimes with other issues in life as well.
