What you said reminds me of my parents' first refrigerator. It was from a small factory and didn't have a brand. But it was really a tough home appliance. My parents got it when they got married 24 years ago. and we throw it away when I graduated from senior middle school 4 years ago. It had been used for 20 years and still worked well except a little noisy. I'm sure it could serve us another one or more years without any problem.

Your parents are lucky to own such a nice fridge which has crossed my record and you are lucky to enjoy that to respond here. How nice it is to share it here isn't it. Any how some appliances come out to be so sturdy to serve for such a long period. It may be a good luck for your parents.

It it so - yes I believe his because those were the most good days when people had good thoughts, but now every one including the industrialists have become money minded and hence are not maintaining the quality at all. They just want to push the product into the market. Every country hope this is the trend. And here many duplicate products are available hence, it sometimes makes us confused... Either to go for which product. Thanks for your kind response....

Not only luck, I found that stuffs made in 1980s usually had better sturdiness than recent ones in my country - China.

That means you are a lucky person for enjoying the service for 19 years - good to note that. But the other part of the response I am unable to follow. If you can write clearly I can clarify that.

Gosh 20 years? You are really lucky. Here the average life span of a fridge is much lower. Mine was new four years ago and I shall be happy if it reaches its tenth birthday without giving me any problems.

Thanks for your kind response - I feel it may also be a luck for - working of an item we purchase.Or may be the parts are manufactured with high standard. But, I came across several items though they are standard it gets failed. Then it is only luck which functions I feel... If your fridge lives for ten years - yes we will surely celebrate its 10th birthday Cheers and Good luck..
