Do magnets ruin your digital camera?

I have a digital camera and I put them in my drawer, and the drawer had guitar pick ups which had magnets in them. I think that is the reason my camera broke. It doesn't work when I only have 1/2 of the charge of the battery. Do you know anything about magnets?

Considering magnets and computers don't do well with each other, might have the same thing going on with the digital camera.
Look up your camera online and see if there has been others having this trouble with the battery. Could be just a bad battery you have there.
Just remember though magnets can wipe hard drives so if that is a digital camera, it may have the same affect on the pictures you have stored on the camera or camera card. I myself would not put the two together.
