Did you know that a lot of fires are caused every year by electrical appliances with tumbler dryers the most common culprit? British standards offers tips on how to prevent this:
-never leave your dryers unattended.
Do not unload tumbler dryer before its cool-down period even when you’re in a rush.
-do not switch it off early to save electricity. The final part of the drying cycle is vital to avoid possibility of spontaneous combustion of load.
-when buying a new dryer, look for a model with an anti-crease feature as it helps the laundry cool down.
just hope this helps.

When we are doing laundry we always make sure someone is here to supervise the load even if we go out. Now for my husband and I usually we finish our laundry before we go out or don't start it until we get back. Cleaning out the lint trap thoroughly is another good hint to keep the dryer safer.

that's very right. if everyone observes safety first then there's nothing to worry about. in fact, turning it off is one of the most simple tasks on earth. why leave it unplug and regret many years of your life. good suggestions there.

I think the fact that laundry is the most disgusted task of cleaning a home makes people want to rush through it. I am guilty of that myself, but one thing I love to do is clean the lint trap between drying.
