I guess that I don't know that many special holidays as other people does. Some online member send me a message saying "Happy grandparents' day", and it is on September 12th. I was "Uh, do we have grandparents' day?" It will be my first time heard of it. But when I think about it all over, it probably make sense. We have Mother's day, father's day, why can't we have grandparents' day. But would it be necessary to have a whole family relative holiday? Like Uncle's day, or aunt's day etc..... Sorry, I never heard of it.

Looking at the list of similar discussions, there is obviously a (or perhaps a few) grandparents day(s). It doesn't make too much sense to me since a grandparent must by necessity be someone's parent. Therefore Father's or Mother's day would be appropriate, but probably on a different day. That is the real problem - we don't have a worldwide consensus as to when these days should be held.
But since it is solely a family affair, surely the person's birthday is quite adequate for celebrations.
The last thing I would like to see is a National Granddads day when all the roads would be filled with Skoda's being driven at 25 mph!
