Anglican Cassock

I have a question regarding the "Traditional" Anglican Cassock. I have been under the impression that the "Traditional" cassock was Single Breasted and had 33 buttons (symbolic of each year that Jesus lived.)

Recently I was told that the "Traditional" cassock was single breasted and had 39 buttons symbolic of the 39 Articles of Religion. I am inquiring about any information that someone might know about the history of the cassock.
