Do you remember: Oscar Meyer Wiener Wagons and Oscar Meyer Weiner Whistles...

I first saw someone purchasing an election when I was in seventh grade and watched a guy with the last name of Meyer buy the student body election by getting the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile to come to our school to pass out Oscar Meyer Wiener Whistles. I love the wienermobile. It was always one of my favorites when it was in town. Now being a parent I took my daughter to see it when it was in town the last time. I remember the whistles as I had my fair share of them. I can remember sitting around the camp fire and singing the song as well. Talk about good memories. To bad the hot dogs dont taste as good as I remember them when I was a kid. LOL. I think its a great marketing tool as it really gets out and about. Exposing the nation to their products. This is a marketing tool that is going strong still to this day.

I can remember eating those hot dogs with French's Mustard on a webers white hot dog bun... with baked beans on the side. They were great! Nowdays, I wouldn't touch them as I'd rather have fake meat than real meat... Tofurkey and Yves Salami are my speed now. I am glad to bring back some good memories... Glad that your daughter had the chance to see the mobile... It is rather amazing to see how well this marketing tool worked. Thanks for commenting!
