Would you like a slave?

If you have something that can make you a slave master, how would would you pick your slave? What would be the good qualities you want for your slave to have? I don't want a slave but I'll probably take the opportunity to make a sort of buddy you know because I think slavery is very harsh so I'll just put that person as my servant who I will pay and have fun together with. I'd probably give the servant it's freedom after some years but you don't know what will happen. People might take my servant as a slave again so I think it's better for my servant to be in my place if he chooses to.
