I miss the old Sesame Street, the classic 70s 80s episodes. What is airing now are Elmo's World and other Ernie and Bert spin offs. I grew up with Sesame Street and owe much of my formative years to this show. It helped me a good deal in being conversational in English, since English is not my primary language. What I do now is I let my kids watch classic Sesame Street episodes on YouTube, and they find it very entertaining and fascinating. The visuals amaze them and the kiddie humor, especially that of Grover as a waiter sends them laughing to the floor! I wish CTW could bring it all back :-)

There are new episodes of Sesame Street, so you need to see why your networks aren't airing them. The show airs in the afternoon in my area. My daughter use to watch the show in the morning. Great show that has had a lot of changes. Sadly, a few of the actors passed away, so some of them had to be made.

Oh.. I wish they could air it over cable channels here in the Philippines. What we get right now are Elmo's World over Disney Channel.

It's gone now? Wow I didn't realize that =( I also gre up watching the original Sesame Street and always loved it. So many things that we enjoyed as kids just seems to be gone for our children. What a shame.

Yes, our kids are missing out a lot. But on the one hand, there are some tools like YouTube that could relive the experience.
