Witnesses of September 11, 2001

I just watched a National Geographic Special that I had been saving about some of the people who personally witnessed the attack of and destruction of the Twin Towers (and Tower 7)of the World Trade Center in New York City. In the beginning of the special, the narrator mentioned how the Twin Towers caught the attention of many photographers and film makers. I count myself as one of them. The year that I met my wife, were were traveling photographers who were on assignment in the New York City/New Jersy area in 1992. As we were leaving, we passed a nice park in New Jersy with an excellent view of the New York City Skyline. I had to get a shot of it! When I was framing the shot, two really tall buildings caught my eye and I knew that I had to include them in my shot. I didn't know what the Twin Towers were at the time, but now this picture will always be displayed in my home, as a rememberence of that horrible day and of the thousands of civilians, fire fighters and policemen who were injured or lost their lives that day.
