I think so, Paris seems like a really unique city, and there is so much more to it than the Eiffel Tower, not to mention that it is the capital of one of the biggest countries in Europe. So I think the Eiffel Tower is really not that important for Paris, it is just the symbol and if there was no tower the symbol would be something else!

I would agree. There is more to a city than a famous monument. It has other buildings like the Arc, Louvre Museums, the Catacombs and the Paris Opera House. Paris will always be famous for its history culture and its moniker as the City of Love. As one of the earliest capitals, it's pretty well documented and it boasts the fashion and art capital of Europe.

The Eiffel Tower is not the only thing to attract tourists to paris. paris is the city of love. Romance is in the air. there are so many other things to show off the beauty of paris. i am glad for the eiffel tower, but if it didn't exist, paris would still be just as famous. @3SnuggleBunnies (16374)

I think it would be. It is a large art & cultural center and it was before the tower was built. Many famous artists were studying there long before the tower. I think it would of been just as famous but you are right there is that something about the landmarks in Paris that really make it a unique destination for tourists ect.
