Is it possible to make cotton candy on your own?

Has anyone ever tried making cotton candy at home by themselves? IS that even possible?
If one can do it at home, is it hard?

I have never heard of making cotton candy @ home. I don't think most of us have access to buy the right equipment anyway. Though I think my kids may become popular for a while if we had the equipment.
